With effect from Sunday 16th April, Shipley Bowmen will once again be shooting at Knepp Castle Estate (West Grinstead, RH13 8LJ) on Sundays throughout the summer until Sunday 29th October inclusive; and on Wednesdays, experienced archers only, from Wednesday 3rd May until Wednesday 25thOctober inclusive. There are no beginners’ sessions on Wednesdays.
The times are: ̶
Sundays: Beginners 2nd, 3rd and 4th introductory sessions only, 4.00 pm – 5.15 pm with experienced archers following at 5.15 pm ̶ 6.30 pm;
Wednesdays: experienced archers only 6.30 pm ̶ 8.30 pm
(The first session of the four for beginners will remain on the first Sunday of each month, at Broadbridge Heath leisure Centre and will start at 4.00 pm).
For anyone who is not familiar with the location of Knepp Castle Estate, the Estate is entered by the main entrance which is in Pound Lane, Shipley. The entrance is about 500 yards along the left-hand side of Pound Lane, itself some three-quarters of a mile along the A272 from the Bucks Barn A272/A24 crossroads towards Billingshurst. Shipley Bowmen will be found immediately on the left alongside the main driveway: cars must be parked in the car park which is by “The Bothy” at the end of the first track to the left, off the driveway.
